18-year-old Arrested After 2 Stabbed in Fight at Virginia Bar

An 18-year-old is in jail facing a 2nd-degree assault charge after two people were stabbed during a bar fight in Virginia early Wednesday morning.

Officers responded around 12:35 a.m. to the Sawmill Saloon & Restaurant, 5478 Mountain Iron Dr., for the report of a fight involving multiple people. Officers learned shortly after they got there that two people had been stabbed during the altercation.

Both victims were taken to the hospital where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries, the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office said.

The possible suspect had fled the scene before officers arrived, the sheriff’s office said, and further investigation led them to a residence in Virginia around 9:30 a.m., where officers arrested Aiden Jake Deegan, 18.

A search warrant was executed at the residence where “items associated with the crime” were found and seized. The sheriff’s office did not detail what items were found.

Deegan was booked into jail on one charge of 2nd-degree assault with a dangerous weapon, a felony, and a misdemeanor charge of underage consumption. Formal charges are pending.
