Bentley the Cat Home Safe Months After Being Stolen in Richfield Car Theft
Months after the car he was in was stolen, Bentley the cat is finally back home in Richfield.
Bentley and his owner Lukas were at a Richfield gas station in late November when the vehicle was taken, with Bentley snoozing in his cat tree inside the car. The vehicle was found in Minneapolis unoccupied the next day, but Bentley was missing for months and Lukas said he was started to lose hope of finding him.
Miraculously, Lukas was called Friday, April 9, from someone saying there had been a positive chip scan for Bentley.
A woman found him meowing in a parking lot in the Marcy-Holmes neighborhood of Minneapolis and took Bentley to the vet.
Bentley is in good health, though a Minnesota winter took its toll on his ears, Lukas said. They appear to have suffered frostbite and are a little shorter than before.
Still, Bentley is "the happiest little guy in the world," Lukas said, finally back at home after a months-long adventure.
