Saint Paul police homicide detectives are investigating four separate homicides within less than 36 hours, the latest victim a woman who was found dead inside her apartment this morning.

Per police, the first homicide occurred shortly after midnight on Sunday morning. A man in his 30s arrived at Regions Hospital in a private vehicle with a gunshot wound. The victim was rushed into surgery but died a short time later.

The person that drove the victim to the hospital was detained and the vehicle was secured, which also had bullet holes in the windshield, police said. The shooting was believed to have occurred in a parking lot on the 400 block of Jackson St. and no arrests have been made.

The second victim was located around 3:15 a.m. on Raspberry Island after a robbery. Officers found a male in his 20s in a vehicle and suffering from a gunshot wound. Saint Paul Fire medics transported the victim to Regions hospital, where he died. No arrests have been made in this shooting.

A third victim was shot later Sunday evening around 8:45 p.m. Dispatchers sent police to the intersection of Seventh St. E. & Mounds Blvd. for a report of shots fired. When officers arrived, they located a male with gunshot wounds inside of a vehicle. Paramedics took the victim to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Police said this shooting may have been a result of a road-rage incident, but it’s unclear how the victim was involved.

Detectives are investigating a fourth scene after officers found a woman in her 50s dead in her condo on the 300 block of Ramsey Street in the city’s Summit Hill neighborhood. Officers were called to the scene just before 11 a.m. Monday after family members requested a welfare check. The officers secured the scene and called the Ramsey County medical examiner, who also responded and informed officers that the death appeared suspicious.

The police department’s forensics services unit is processing the scene for fingerprints, physical evidence or anything else that can help bring clarity to her cause of death. SPPD said a team of homicide investigators is interviewing people who knew the victim and looking for possible witnesses.

UPDATE: The victim in Monday’s homicide has been identified as Angela Chapin Huntington, 52, of Saint Paul. Officers are asking anyone with any information to call 651-266-5650 or CrimStoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Saint Paul has recorded 22 confirmed homicides so far in 2021.
