Authorities say a driver was injured in a milk truck rollover crash Friday afternoon in Lake George Township.

Dispatch received the first reports around 2:40 p.m. on Oct. 18, 2024, about the crash south of the intersection of 433rd Avenue and 310th Street, about a mile west of Elrosa, Minn.

According to the sheriff’s office, the milk truck had rolled over, trapping the driver inside with lacerations to his head and arm.

Deputies arriving at the scene identified the driver as Benjamin Imdieke, 40, of Melrose. Authorities say Imdieke had been operating a Western Star Conventional truck northbound on 433rd Avenue when he veered into the west ditch, causing the truck to roll onto its side, trapping him. Imdieke sustained serious injuries but is expected to survive. He was airlifted by Life Link III to St. Cloud Hospital for treatment.

Officials said alcohol and drugs are not suspected to be factors in the crash. The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation with assistance from the Minnesota State Patrol.
