Authorities say two young adults were seriously injured in a UTV rollover crash Sunday night in Wright County.

Deputies were called around 8:20 p.m. on May 18 to the area of 11868 Eaken Avenue SE in Franklin Township. When they arrived, they located a John Deere UTV that had rolled onto its passenger side near a field on the property. Five people were inside the UTV at the time of the crash, according to the Wright County Sheriff’s Office.

Jack Nelson, a 19-year-old from Minnetrista, was identified as the driver. Investigators say the UTV rolled and ejected multiple passengers. Ally Eidsness, 19, also from Minnetrista, and Thomas Rockwell, 18, of Mound, were both seriously hurt. Eidsness was flown by a LifeLink helicopter to a trauma center, while Rockwell was transported by ambulance. Two additional passengers were uninjured.

Ridgeview Ambulance and the Watertown Fire Department assisted deputies at the scene. The sheriff’s office has not released additional information about what led to the crash or whether any charges are under consideration.
