A Duluth man plead guilty this week to sexually assaulting four minor girls across four separate criminal cases spanning more than a decade, the Saint Louis County Attorney's Office announced.

Johnathon Allen Haag, 28, entered guilty pleas to two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and two counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct in Saint Louis County District Court. As part of the plea agreement, prosecutors dismissed 10 additional counts and two separate cases charging Haag with violating an order for protection and making threats of violence against a family member of one victim.

Under the terms of the agreement, Haag faces a sentence of 30 years in prison and will not be eligible for supervised release until he has served at least 20 years. Sentencing is scheduled for July 9.

The four cases involve four different victims, all of whom were minors at the time of the assaults. Criminal complaints filed in Saint Louis County outline a pattern of abuse at residences in rural Saint Louis County dating back to 2014.

In the earliest case, one victim told investigators Haag began sexually assaulting her when she was a young teenager after she moved in November 2014. Haag was 17 at the time. She said he invited her to watch a movie and then assaulted her. The abuse continued over time and her grades dropped as a result, the court documents said.

A second teenage victim told investigators Haag held her down, covered her mouth and repeatedly sexually assaulted her while they shared a bedroom at the same residence. She described enduring the assaults dozens of times over a period of about two years and said she suffered physical injuries. Haag allegedly threatened her to keep quiet.

In a third case, the victim reported that Haag sexually assaulted her four to five times. He told her to be quiet and threatened her during the assaults.

The most recent case involved a teen victim who described a pattern of physical and sexual abuse over multiple years, including strangulation and being kicked in the head hard enough to cause a seizure. Haag allegedly recorded some of the sexual acts on video, gave the victim alcohol and threatened to share nude images of her.

Haag was first charged in February 2025. Three additional victims came forward after the initial case was filed, leading to charges in three more court files through early 2026.

The investigation was conducted by the Fond du Lac Tribal Police Department and the FBI, with assistance from the United States Attorney's Office and the First Witness Child Advocacy Center.

Haag remains in custody at the Saint Louis County Jail.
