Two juvenile boys are in custody after a group of about 10 to 12 juveniles attacked another boy in St. Cloud, and a woman who tried to stop the assault was hit with a bat, police say.
St. Cloud officers were called around 4 p.m. on September 22 to an assault in the 600 block of 15th Street South, according to the St. Cloud Police Department. Officers found that a juvenile boy had been assaulted by roughly 10 to 12 other juvenile boys. He had minor injuries.
Investigators learned that an adult woman who tried to intervene had been struck with a bat by an unknown male, police said. She also had minor injuries.

The department’s Criminal Investigation Unit identified two juvenile boys from St. Cloud who took part in the assault, and its Community Response Team found both and took them into custody. They are being held in secure detention on felony charges related to the assault, police said.
Police said the investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected as other participants are identified.
