A 91-year-old driver and two women were hospitalized after a crash Wednesday afternoon in Pequot Lakes.
The State Patrol said the crash happened just after 3 p.m. Sept. 17 on Highway 371 at County Road 107.
A Honda Fit, driven by a 91-year-old man from Nisswa, was northbound in the left turn lane for Patriot Avenue when the driver turned in front of a southbound GMC Terrain.
The driver of the Honda Fit was taken to St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd with injuries described as non-life threatening. Two passengers in the Terrain were also injured.
A 68-year-old woman of Pine River was transported to St. Joseph’s with non-life threatening injuries. 89-year-old Beverly Louise Mink of Roseburg, Oregon, was not wearing a seat belt and suffered life-threatening injuries. She was taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth.
The 16-year-old driver of the Terrain was wearing a seat belt and was not injured. Authorities confirmed that alcohol was not a factor in the crash and that airbags deployed in both vehicles.
Pequot police and fire crews, North Ambulance and MnDOT assisted at the scene.
