A grocery store in Saint Anthony was evacuated Thursday morning after a caller threatened that a bomb would detonate within 20 minutes, according to police.
Officers responded just after 11:19 a.m. to Cub Foods at 3930 Silver Lake Road Northeast after an employee reported receiving a threatening phone call.
Police say they arrived within two minutes and quickly evacuated the building and surrounding area.
Two bomb detection canines from Metro Transit Police and the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office were brought in to search the store and nearby vehicles. No explosive devices were found, and the store was later cleared to reopen.
The investigation remains active. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Saint Anthony Police Department at 612-782-3350 or generalinvestigation@savmn.com.
