A man from Hoyt Lakes died Monday afternoon after crashing his motorcycle in Lake County.
Initial information indicates that 34-year-old Derek Andrew Church, was riding a 2016 Kawasaki KL650 Enduro eastbound when he left the roadway and entered the right ditch.
Church’s motorcycle was the only vehicle involved in the collision. Road conditions were reported to be dry at the time of the crash.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene.
According to the State Patrol, Church was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, and it’s unknown if alcohol may have been involved.
