A juvenile was shot and killed late Monday night in Willmar, according to police.
When officers arrived, they found a juvenile male unresponsive. Medical crews attempted lifesaving measures but declared the victim dead at the scene.
The Willmar Police Department says the shooting does not appear to have been random and there is no ongoing threat to the public. The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
Officers secured the area, processed the scene and began interviewing potential witnesses. The investigation remains active, and authorities are asking anyone with information to call the Willmar Police Department at 320-235-2244.
