Minneapolis police say a man died Saturday afternoon after he was struck by two vehicles while crossing the street.

Officers were dispatched just before 3:10 p.m. to East Franklin Avenue and Cedar Avenue for reports of a pedestrian crash.

When they arrived, they found a man who had been hit by both a sedan and a bus. He was pronounced dead at the scene, MPD said.

Initial info indicates the man had been crossing Franklin Avenue mid-block when he was struck. Police said both drivers involved stayed at the scene and have cooperated with investigators.

The Minneapolis Police Department’s Traffic Investigators were called to examine the crash, and forensic scientists processed and documented the area. Authorities said no arrests or citations have been issued at this stage.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the victim and determine his official cause and manner of death.
