A 60-year-old man died early Friday morning after the pickup he was riding in was struck head-on by another vehicle on Highway 95 in Isanti County.

The driver of the Ford, a 48-year-old woman from North Branch, was not injured. Her passenger, 60-year-old Randy Alan St. Clair, also of North Branch, was killed in the crash. Authorities noted that he was not wearing a seat belt.

The Ford came to rest in the south ditch while the Silverado stopped in the north ditch.

The driver of the Silverado, 76-year-old John William Menter, was also uninjured and was wearing a seat belt at the time. Road conditions were reported as dry and alcohol is not believed to have been involved, authorities said.

The Isanti County Sheriff’s Office and Allina EMS assisted State Patrol at the scene. The crash remains under investigation and authorities have not yet released further details about what may have caused the driver of the Silverado to cross into oncoming traffic.
