A man was shot and killed late Tuesday night inside an apartment building in south Minneapolis.
The shooting happened around 10:42 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, inside an apartment building in the 100 block of East 18th Street, where officers were called on a report of a person shot.
Minneapolis Police Department forensic scientists processed the scene and collected evidence overnight. As of publication, no arrests have been announced and investigators have not publicly identified any suspects.
Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara addressed the killing in a statement, saying, “Another life has been lost to senseless gun violence. We are asking anyone with information about this incident or the identity of those involved to come forward and assist investigators.”

Authorities have not yet released the identity of the man who died.
