Police say a woman was shot early Sunday morning after confronting a group of people outside her north Minneapolis home.
Officers were called to the 3300 block of Russell Avenue North just after 3 a.m. on the initial report of a shooting.
According to a MPD spokesperson, people outside the victim’s residence were making noise and the woman went outside to speak with them. While she was talking with the group, authorities say a man pulled out a gun and fired multiple shots, hitting her at least once.
The woman was taken to the hospital with what police described as a non-life-threatening injury. The group had left the area before officers arrived and no arrests have been made as of Sunday afternoon.
Authorities continue to investigate the shooting and have not released additional information about those involved.
