A Saint Paul man has been sentenced to 11 years in federal prison for robbing two U.S. Postal Service employees at gunpoint in separate incidents in November 2023.
The following day, Adams carried out a second robbery in Brooklyn Center. He approached a letter carrier, held a handgun to the victim’s head, and demanded mailbox keys. Adams fled with two keys, which are used to access locked mail boxes. For the next month until his arrest, Adams allegedly used the keys to access locked mail boxes and take the contents from inside.
The investigation involved multiple agencies, including the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, the FBI, Hennepin County Violent Offenders Task Force, Edina Police Department, Brooklyn Center Police Department, St. Louis Park Police Department, and the Minnesota Alcohol and Gambling Enforcement Division.
Adams was remanded to U.S. Marshals custody following the sentencing.
