According to a criminal complaint, Calvin Dean Basswood has been charged with first-degree assault after deputies found a man badly injured at a rural property west of Detroit Lakes on the morning of Oct. 4.
Deputies said the man was driving a 2001 Kawasaki motorcycle westbound on Fort Thunder Road when he failed to stop at a stop sign and struck a 2019 Toyota Tundra traveling on County Highway 125.
Mitchell was arrested in the early morning hours of April 22, 2024, after her stepmother, Carol Mitchell, called 911 to report someone crawling on the floor of her bedroom.
