2 Arrested for Involvement in Drugs, Stolen Property in Le Sueur County

Nathan William Quast and Emily Ann Wagner

Two people were taken into custody on Tuesday by the Cannon River Drug and Violent Offender Task Force after an investigation into their involvement with controlled substances and stolen property.

A press release from the Le Sueur County Sheriff’s Office says Nathan William Quast, 37, and Emily Ann Wagner, 33, both of Waterville, were arrested during a traffic stop in Waterville. During the traffic stop, agents located methamphetamine and marijuana in their vehicle.

Officers then conducted multiple search warrants, including one at a home where the suspects were living. Officers located additional drugs, including methamphetamine, psychedelic mushrooms and other paraphernalia, according to a media release.

Additional search warrants were executed at various storage units in the county that were associated with Quast and Wagner. Officers recovered an antique car and a trailer that were both reported stolen.

Officers located firearms and ammunition, which based on their criminal history, both Quast and Wagner would be ineligible to possess.

The Le Sueur County Sheriff’s Office states that Quast and Wagner are both being held in the Le Sueur County Jail and have been charged with controlled substance crimes, possession of stolen property and firearms charges.

Both defendants were scheduled to make a court appearance on Feb. 10 for a bail hearing.
