A 32-year-old Eden Prairie man faces 13 felony charges after spending nearly two months sending explicit photos, videos and sexual messages to someone he believed was a 15-year-old girl on Reddit.
Kyle Francis-Lee Brault was arrested Thursday, March 19 as part of an undercover child solicitation operation run by the Carver County Sheriff's Office.
Brault faces five counts of distributing pornographic material to a child, seven counts of engaging in electronic communication describing sexual conduct with a child and one count of soliciting a child to engage in sexual conduct. All 13 counts are felonies, each carrying a maximum sentence of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

According to the criminal complaint, a Carver County sheriff's detective created an undercover profile on Reddit using photographs of a young-looking female in January 2026. On Jan. 29, Brault messaged the undercover account. The detective told him she was 15 years old. Brault responded that he was "waaay too old to be talking to you," but he kept messaging, the complaint states.
By Feb. 3, Brault sent the first explicit image to the account: a clothed photograph of a male's groin area. On Feb. 8, he sent sexually graphic messages and on Feb. 9 told the girl he couldn't send a photo of his face because he would "get in big trouble," court documents say.
On Feb. 11, Brault sent three explicit photographs of himself to the account, according to the complaint. The next day, he sent a barrage of sexually graphic messages describing in detail what he wanted to do with the girl and soliciting her to engage in sexual acts.

The messages continued through February. On Feb. 15, Brault sent more graphic messages. On Feb. 19, he sent a video of himself performing a sexual act and messaged, "Watcha think?" court documents say.
The contact continued into March. Brault sent additional explicit photographs of himself on March 8 and again on March 19, the day he was arrested, the complaint states. He also allegedly sent sexually explicit messages on March 9 and 10.
After being read his Miranda rights, Brault admitted the explicit photos and video were of him. A confirmation text sent to the phone number the detective had been messaging was received on Brault's phone. Officers found the text thread on the device, where Brault had saved the undercover number under a nickname, court documents say. He admitted the messages were sent by him.
Brault is being held in custody. A judge ordered his detention with no bail amount set.
