3-year-old Dies After Accidental Shooting in Otter Tail County

A 3-year-old boy has died after accidentally shooting himself Sunday in Otter Tail County.
Deputies were called to the scene in Oak Valley Township around 5:40 p.m.
The child, identified by a GoFundMe listing as Rudy Sweere, was transported to a Wadena hospital for treatment of his injuries but later died.
The fundraiser described Rudy as having a “vibrant life” and asked for community support for the Sweere family during this difficult time.
Authorities have not released further details about how the shooting occurred but confirmed the investigation is ongoing. Additional details are expected to be released in the coming days.
