Crash Near St. Cloud Leaves 2 Dead
A crash involving two vehicles on Interstate 94 in Albany Township left two people dead Saturday afternoon.
The Minnesota State Patrol says the incident occurred around 2:37 p.m. near mile marker 145, about 15 miles west of Saint Cloud, when a Toyota Prius rear-ended an International straight truck as both drivers were traveling eastbound.
Authorities confirmed the crash was fatal, but further details, including the identities of those involved or the extent of other injuries, will not be released until Monday, Dec. 2, at 10 a.m.
The State Patrol says a 42-year-old woman from Minneapolis was driving the Prius, and a 15-year-old girl from Minneapolis was a passenger in the vehicle. According to the incident report, at least one of the involved parties was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the crash.

The State Patrol says Sarah Jones, 42, and 15-year-old passenger, Kale Olson, both from Minneapolis, were killed when the Prius rear-ended the truck. Jones and Olson were both pronounced dead at the scene. The State Patrol incident report says neither was wearing a seatbelt.
The truck driver, a 21-year-old man, was uninjured in the crash but was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.
