An adult male was found shot and killed Sunday afternoon at a homeless encampment in Saint Paul.
When they arrived, people at the camp directed officers to a nearby tent where the man was lying with apparent gunshot wounds. Officers took over efforts to help the victim before Saint Paul Fire medics arrived and pronounced him dead at the scene.
Police secured the area and began speaking with witnesses, but no arrests have been made. Investigators are still working to determine what led to the shooting and who was responsible.
The Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an autopsy to confirm the victim’s identity and cause of death. It’s the fifth homicide of 2025 in the city, the department said.
