A motorcyclist was critically injured in a multi-vehicle crash on I-35W in Minneapolis on Tuesday evening, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Authorities say the crash occurred at approximately 5:09 p.m. near the 36th Street exit when a 2002 Yamaha YZFR6 sport bike, driven by 19-year-old Kaeden Devon Price of Blaine, was traveling at a high rate of speed in the northbound lanes. The motorcycle sideswiped a Jeep Wrangler before rear-ending a Ford F150.

Price was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. Officials say he was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The drivers of the other two vehicles involved were not injured.
