MPD Seeks 'Person of Interest' in Woman's Stabbing Death

Minneapolis police are seeking who they call a “person of interest” in the city’s latest homicide. A 38-year-old woman was found fatally stabbed inside a residence around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, 2021. Police say the victim, Nikkiyia Robinson, had obvious signs of trauma to her body and a suspicious death investigation was started at the scene on the 400 block of Ridgewood Ave.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled Robinson’s death a homicide and her cause of death was sharp force trauma to the chest.

On Saturday, April 10, Minneapolis police said they were seeking the public’s help in finding a person of interest in the case, Jerome Anthony Woodland, 53. He’s 6’, about 190 lbs., bald, with facial hair and brown eyes.

Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Woodland is asked to call 911. Police warn the public not to approach Woodland, but instead call authorities to make the report.
