Six Hurt After Ambulance Crash Near Buffalo

The Wright County Sheriff’s Office says six people were hurt after an ambulance crashed while transporting a patient from another crash on Thursday evening.

The EMT driving the ambulance reported they were involved in the crash around 6:45 p.m. July 6, near the intersection of County Road 34 NE. and Eaken Ave. NE. in Buffalo Township. The ambulance crew was transporting an individual who was hurt in a previous crash and was en route to the hospital without using emergency lights or sirens.

The sheriff’s office says the driver of a Toyota RAV4 pulled out from from a stop sign into the ambulance’s path, causing the collision.

The driver and passenger of the RAV4 were taken to North Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The patient, as well as three ambulance crew members were transported to Buffalo Hospital with minor injuries.
