2 Shot in Columbia Heights Saturday Afternoon

Columbia Heights police say two people were injured in a shooting Saturday afternoon

Early indications show that a juvenile male shot into a vehicle occupied by three individuals before fleeing the scene.

Officers arrived on the 4500 block of Central Avenue Northeast and located an adult male and a juvenile male suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were taken to the hospital where they were said to be in stable condition.

Responding officers surrounded the area and located the suspect who was taken into custody. Police say the incident remained under investigation by the Columbia Heights Police Department and the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office.
