2 Pedestrians Struck, 1 Killed in St. Louis Park Crash
A woman was killed and a man was injured after being struck by an suspected intoxicated driver in St. Louis Park.
Police responded around 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 30 to the 3900 block of Meadowbrook Road, where two pedestrians had reportedly been struck by a driver.
A 51-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities have confirmed. A 60-year-old man suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment.
The driver, a 38-year-old man, was taken into custody on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, criminal vehicular operation and criminal homicide. Formal charges have not yet been filed.
The St. Louis Park Police Department is leading the investigation with assistance from the Minnesota State Patrol. Authorities are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has additional information to call St. Louis Park Police at 952-924-2618.
