At one point, a Chaska officer performed a pursuit intervention technique on the suspect vehicle, which ended up facing southbound with two squads positioned in front of the vehicle. The suspect accelerated and struck both squad cars, reportedly driving up and over a portion of one of the squad cars in order to continue fleeing. A third officer had to swerve onto the shoulder to avoid being struck by the suspect.

The criminal complaint alleges that the suspect fled at speeds exceeding 100 MPH while crossing into Shakopee. The pursuit ended after the suspect crashed into a white cargo van near Marschall Road & W. County Road 78 in Shakopee.
