Avon Man Hospitalized after being Attacked by Bull

A 45-year-old Stearns County man was injured in a bull attack in Holding Township Wednesday morning.

The Stearns County Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call at approximately 9:14 a.m. on October 30, 2024, reporting that Keith Woitalla, of Avon, was injured on the 16000 block of County Road 52.

Deputies and Holdingford Rescue arrived and found Woitalla still in the cattle pen, where they provided initial care.

The bull was secured in a separate pen upon responders’ arrival. Woitalla was transported by Mayo Ambulance Service to St. Cloud Hospital with serious injuries.

An update on Woitalla’s was not immediately available at publication. The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Holdingford Fire and Rescue and Mayo Ambulance Service.
