Body of Missing Woman Found in St. Louis County following Search Efforts

The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office says 51-year-old Nori Jean Pribble, who had been reported missing on October 13, was found dead on Thursday afternoon in a wooded area near Brookston.

Authorities say Pribble had not been heard from since the morning of October 13. She was last seen around 6 p.m. on October 12 near Highway 31 and McCamus Road, wearing a multi-colored dress and a navy blue shawl. Investigators confirmed she was on foot at the time.

Following Pribble’s disappearance, the Fond Du Lac Police Department enlisted assistance from the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office and the St. Louis County Rescue Squad. Search efforts included aerial drones and ground teams in the area, though they initially yielded no results.

Further investigation indicated that Pribble may have also been seen near the intersection of Highway 31 and Highway 2 early on October 13, around 2 a.m.

The search concluded on October 17 at around 2:08 p.m., when members of the St. Louis County Rescue Squad found Pribble’s body in a wooded area off a logging road just south of the 8800 block of McCamus Road.

The Fond Du Lac Police Department and the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office are continuing their investigation, with the cause of death expected to be released at a later time by the medical examiner’s office. Authorities report foul play is not suspected at this time.
