The crash happened around 11:20 p.m. on Highway 10 near County Road 11, southeast of Becker.

The collision sent the pickup into the ditch and the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup—a 75-year-old man from Minneapolis—was not injured.
Due to radio encryption, the reason for the initial traffic stop and where the pursuit began remain unclear. The identity of the motorcyclist has not yet been released and authorities have not disclosed the rider’s age or hometown. The incident remains under investigation.
Multiple agencies responded to the scene, including the Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office, Becker Police Department, Big Lake Police Department, Becker Fire Department and CentraCare Ambulance. Eastbound Highway 10 remained closed for several hours as investigators processed the scene.
The identities of those involved are expected to be released by Thursday morning.
