Man Dies in Rollover Crash in Kanabec County
Authorities say a man died in a single-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon in Knife Lake Township.
The Minnesota State Patrol reports that 70-year-old William Dennis Bonney, of Brook Park, was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu northbound on Mahogany Street.
Around 3:05 p.m., Bonney went through the intersection at 220th Avenue, then lost control, went into the left ditch, rolled over, and struck a tree.
Bonney, who was not wearing a seatbelt, died at Welia Health in Mora after the crash.
Officials noted that road conditions were wet at the time of the incident. Alcohol is not believed to have been a factor.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
