Man Found Fatally Shot in Northeast Minneapolis

Minneapolis police say a man in his 30s is dead after an apparent shooting near the 700 block of Quincy St. NE.

Police were called to the area on Tuesday around 8:40 a.m. on a report of a person not breathing. Officers arrived and found the male victim, deceased from an apparent gunshot wound to the chest.

Officers secured the area while homicide investigators collected evidence from the scene, MPD said.

The man’s name will be released along with the cause and nature of his death by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner in the coming days.

Police say that no arrests have been made and ask anyone with information to call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
