Saint Louis Co. Man Charged with Sexual Assault After Victim Comes Forward

The Saint Louis County Sheriff’s Office says investigators arrested 48-year-old Clint Massie, of Grand Lake Township, on four counts of 2nd-degree criminal sexual conduct on Friday.

Massie made a court appearance today and is being held on $300,000 bail.

According to a media release, an investigation started several weeks ago after an adult female came forward and said she was sexually abused by Massie when she was a young child.

As the investigation continued, additional victims were identified who also disclosed Massie sexually abused them when they were children.

Police believe there are other victims of sexual abuse by Massie that have yet to come forward. The Sheriff’s Office encourages anyone with related information to call 911 or the Criminal Investigations Division general line at 218-336-4350.

If you, or someone you know, has been or is currently being sexually abused, please call 911 immediately or reach out to a local advocacy organization, such as PAVSA (Program for Aid to Victims of Sexual Assault) at 218-726-1931 or First Witness Child Advocacy Center at 218-727-8353.
