According to investigators, the victim and suspect knew each other and had been at the location for several hours before an altercation broke out. At some point before the 911 call, Fisher allegedly stabbed the victim and fled the scene on foot, leaving the knife behind. Officers set up a perimeter and searched the area using a K-9 and drone, but he was not immediately located.
Fisher was taken into custody Friday morning by members of the St. Cloud Police Department's Community Response Team and the Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force. He was brought to the Stearns County Jail on a felony charge of first-degree assault and a booking photo was not immediately available.
Authorities believe this was an isolated incident and say there is no ongoing threat to the public. The investigation remains active.
