VIDEO: Uptown Minneapolis Shooting Leaves 1 Hurt

A shooting near the Pourhouse in the Uptown neighborhood of south Minneapolis Saturday, March 6 left one person injured. Firefighters reported they found one victim who was suffering from a gunshot wound and applied a tourniquet to control the bleeding.

Officers initially called for more squads to assist with controlling a large crowd at the scene of the shooting.

The suspect that fired the shots was said to be a heavier-set black male, carrying a longer-style gun in his right hand as he was spotted leaving the scene southbound on foot.

The victim was transported by Hennepin County paramedics to an area hospital. Police said Sunday morning that the victim of the shooting is expected to survive their injuries.
