Victim Airlifted Following St. Louis County Hit-and-Run

The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a 26-year-old man was found seriously injured on the 5300 block of Highway 25, just south of Kinney, on Thursday evening.

Authorities say first responders were dispatched at approximately 4:47 p.m. after the man was discovered lying in a ditch. Upon arrival, emergency personnel determined the man had been struck by a vehicle, which had fled the scene.

The victim was airlifted to a hospital in Duluth, where he is receiving treatment for serious injuries. His condition has not been updated, and authorities have not released his identity.

The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office and the Minnesota State Patrol are leading the investigation. They are asking for anyone with information about the incident or the suspect vehicle to come forward.
