Woman Killed in Saint Paul Shooting Saturday Morning
Saint Paul police say a woman was fatally shot inside a residence in the Battle Creek neighborhood late Saturday morning and the suspect remains at large.
Police were called around 11:15 a.m. to the 2200 block of Hillsdale Avenue for multiple 911 calls about a woman being shot. Officers arrived and found an adult female suffering from multiple apparent gunshot wounds in the residence. Officers secured the scene and paramedics declared the victim deceased at the scene.
Police say homicide investigators are working to determine what led up to the incident, but preliminary information reveals that the shooting was likely domestic related.
The Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s office has identified the victim as Don-Shay Hardy, 38, of Saint Paul.
Initial police radio dispatches indicated Hardy’s children fled from the home and asked a neighbor to call 911. The male suspect reportedly fled the area, possibly in a white Chevy Malibu.
Police ask anyone with information related to the case to call 651-266-5650.
