Brooklyn Park Police Investigating Saturday Fatal Shooting

Brooklyn Park police say a man was shot and killed early Saturday morning.

Officers responded at around 4:36 a.m. after receiving reports of gunfire in the 7900 block of Lee Avenue North.

Upon arrival in the residential neighborhood, they found an adult male with an apparent gunshot wound lying outside a residence.

Officers immediately began CPR and other life-saving efforts, but the man was pronounced dead shortly after. His identity has not yet been released.

Detectives and crime scene personnel were processing the scene and gathering evidence into Saturday morning. No suspects have been identified and no arrests have been made as of early Saturday evening.

Authorities have not yet disclosed any information about what may have led up to the shooting. Anyone with information about the incident or who may have seen suspicious activity in the area is encouraged to contact the Brooklyn Park Police Department.
