Delta Airlines Employee Allegedly Sold Stolen Goods on eBay
Prosecutors have charged a Burnsville man with felony theft in connection with an alleged scheme to steal and sell Delta Airlines property valued at over $161,000.
Authorities say the thefts spanned nearly a year, beginning in June 2023. The investigation began on May 7, 2024, when Delta security identified an eBay account under the username "oreosita" selling missing Delta inventory, including items intended for employee gifts.

Ahmad Ali Harfoush, 40, a shop equipment technician with key access to Delta's inventory became the primary suspect.
Airport police arrested Harfoush at work on May 13, 2024. Surveillance footage from a conference room captured him telling his fiancée over the phone, "I got arrested... I f***ed up big time," and admitting to needing a lawyer for "stealing" and "theft."
A search of Harfoush's residence uncovered $49,852.31 worth of Delta property, while an additional $5,422.78 of property was found in his vehicle. Investigators also recovered packaging materials and shipping labels, suggesting an organized effort to offload stolen goods.
Records from eBay revealed that between June 2023 and May 2024, Harfoush sold items for $70,820.77, though Delta estimated the total value of the stolen items at $106,390.70. Forensic analysis showed that Harfoush used his work computer to manage the eBay sales, funneling proceeds into his personal bank account for everyday expenses.
In a recorded phone call following his arrest, Harfoush acknowledged, "It started as something simple, and then I just got greedy... I need treatment for this... theft. Like, what the f*** am I thinking?"
Harfoush faces a maximum of 20 years in prison and a $100,000 fine for each of the charges. Harfoush was charged via summons and will appear in Hennepin County Court later this month.
