Steven Frane Bailey, the driver charged in the fatal crash at Park Tavern that killed two and injured three, will be released on bail.
Bailey posted a $500,000 bond with conditions on Tuesday, following a hearing in Hennepin County District Court.
Bailey, 56, faces two counts of third-degree murder as well as numerous other felonies after driving through the outdoor patio of Park Tavern on September 1, killing Kristina Folkerts and Gabe Harvey. The crash occurred while Bailey was reportedly driving under the influence with a blood alcohol concentration of .325.

As part of his conditional release, Bailey will remain in custody until Oct. 14th, at which point he will be released and must be brought directly to an alcohol treatment facility.
Bailey must also remain under electronic monitoring, live in sober housing and comply with several strict conditions. These include staying away from Park Tavern, avoiding all contact with the victims' families, and refraining from alcohol and controlled substances.
Bailey is also prohibited from driving and will be subject to random testing for alcohol use. Bailey must attend all court appearances and continue any required substance abuse treatment.
Bailey’s next court date is scheduled for December.
