Man Airlifted After Stabbing in Wright County; Suspect Charged
Prosecutors have charged a COKATO suspect with two counts of felony second-degree assault after he allegedly stabbed a 67-year-old man in the neck earlier this week.
According to the criminal complaint, Wright County deputies responded to a call at approximately 9:09 p.m. from a residence on the 2700 block of Nevens Avenue SW, where a stabbing had been reported.
Deputies arrived to find the victim bleeding heavily from a two-inch laceration on the left side of his neck.
The victim told officers that Julian Deuce Hill, 24, who resides at the home, approached him from a bedroom with a hand concealed behind his back and then stabbed him without warning before fleeing on foot.
Officers located Hill walking near the residence shortly after the attack and took him into custody without further incident.
The victim was airlifted to North Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries. Hill, of Cokato, remains in custody at the Wright County Jail. If convicted, he faces up to 10 years in prison. Hill will make his first court appearance to set bail Thursday morning.
