Early Morning Saint Paul Shooting Leaves 1 Injured

Police say an adult male was injured in a shooting early this morning on SAint Paul's East Side.

At about 3:25 a.m., officers responded to the 900 block of Arcade St. for reports of gunfire.

Responding officers did not locate any victims or suspects at the scene but did recover evidence of shots fired.

A short time later, officers were called to the 100 block of Arch St., where they found a man who said he had been shot in the neck. Investigators determined the shooting occurred on Arcade St., and the victim fled to the Arch St. location.

The man was taken to the hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

SPPD SWAT responded to a residence on the 900 block of Arcade St. in an attempt to locate a suspect, but no suspects were located. No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains active.
