VIDEO: Coon Rapids Hit-and-Run Crash Leaves Pedestrian Injured

A pedestrian was injured when they were struck by a driver who fled the scene Sunday in Coon Rapids, according to police.

Police and Allina paramedics responded to the crash near Coon Rapids Boulevard NW & Highway 610 around 6 p.m. Dec. 15.

Officials say the pedestrian was struck by a driver who did not stop. The victim was taken to a local hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.

Coon Rapids detectives are investigating the incident as a hit-and-run, but no description of the suspect vehicle was immediately available. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Coon Rapids Police Department at (763) 767-6481.
