Late-Night Stabbing Leaves Man Dead in Saint Paul

A man died late Monday night after being stabbed multiple times outside a residence in a Saint Paul neighborhood.

Around 11:30 p.m. on March 31, police were dispatched to reports of an unresponsive person lying in front of a home on the 1400 block of 6th Street East.

Responding officers located an adult male with multiple stab wounds and immediately called for medics. The victim was transported by Saint Paul Fire paramedics to Regions Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Authorities secured the area while homicide detectives and forensic specialists began processing the scene and gathering evidence. Investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident and are seeking to identify any potential suspects.

Police say this is the city’s second homicide of the year. Law enforcement is urging anyone with information about the case to contact the department’s Homicide Unit at 651-266-5650.

The victim has been identified by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner as Jay’Mier Keymari Givens, 19, of Saint Paul.
