Man Fatally Stabbed in Saint Paul; One in Custody

A man was fatally stabbed in the Frogtown neighborhood of Saint Paul late Saturday night, police have confirmed, and a possible suspect has been arrested.

Around 10:30 p.m. June 3, officers were called to the 1000 block of Charles Ave. and found Juan Jose Jimenez-Alarcon, 30, in the home and with apparent stab wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A search of the neighborhood revealed a possible suspect, SPPD says, and he was booked into the Ramsey County jail on suspicion of murder.

Alfredo Arturo Alvarez-Flores, 24, was arrested Saturday night. He was charged with two counts of 2nd-degree murder by the Ramey County Attorney’s Office on Monday morning.

It's the 16th homicide of the year in Saint Paul.
