Man Killed in Northwest Rochester Shooting; 1 Arrested

A man is dead following an early morning shooting in northwest Rochester, with one person arrested in connection.

Officers were dispatched at 1:12 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30 to a home on the 4100 block of Manor Woods Drive NW. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

First responders attempted lifesaving measures, but he died at the scene.

Rochester Police Department has confirmed that one person was taken into custody shortly after the incident, though authorities have not released details about the suspect or the events leading up to the shooting.

Investigators say no other injuries were reported and there is no known ongoing threat to the public. The identity of the victim has not yet been disclosed, pending notification of family members.

Officials have also not commented on whether the suspect and victim were known to each other. The investigation remains active, and police are continuing to gather evidence and interview witnesses. Further details are expected as the case develops.
