Motorcyclist Dead After Collision with SUV, 2 Other Vehicles in Duluth

Duluth Police say a motorcyclist died following a crash involving an SUV and two other vehicles on Monday morning.

The incident occurred at about 6:45 a.m. at the intersection of West Arrowhead Road and Rice Lake Road. Authorities say an SUV and a motorcycle collided, causing the motorcycle to strike two other vehicles that were stopped at a traffic light.

The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene, despite wearing a helmet. Police say no other injuries were reported.

The Minnesota State Patrol is assisting Duluth Police with the investigation and crash reconstruction. The identities of those involved are being withheld until families are notified.
