Sources tell us the suspect is Hakeem Waheed Muhammad, wanted in relation to the April killing of Devan Trevon Dampier, 29, of Minneapolis.
Officers requested help from the State Patrol helicopter and attempted to use a tire-deflating device, but it failed to immobilize the suspect vehicle, police said, and a pursuit was initiated.
A State Patrol helicopter was requested to assist in the pursuit, but the suspect eventually crashed into the unrelated vehicle on the border of Brooklyn Center and Minneapolis.
