Police responded to a domestic disturbance Sunday in Saint Paul after a woman said her former partner was inside the apartment, making threats and damaging property.

The incident prompted a significant law enforcement presence—including a SWAT team response—but ultimately ended without an arrest.

Officers arrived at the scene on the 1900 block of Wilson Avenue around 4 p.m. Sunday, March 16, and met with the victim outside the residence. She said her ex-partner was inside and may have been armed with a firearm. The suspect was also known to have an active felony warrant, police confirmed.

Despite multiple commands from officers, there was no response from inside the apartment. Due to concerns that the suspect may have been armed, SWAT was called in to help resolve the situation. Authorities then secured a warrant to enter and search the apartment for the suspect.

When SWAT executed the warrant, the apartment was thoroughly searched but the suspect was not located. No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing, police said late Sunday. If you have any information, call SPPD at 651-291-1111.
